Are achievements working?

Haven't really tested or looked at them too hard but loaded into my phase 4 world and got not achievements

You probably have to start a new save I have gotten some one a brand new playthrough.

They said on the Reddit post (and probably other places as well) "If you use any Advanced Game Settings (Wiki Link) this will prevent the award of ALL Achievements." So if you are in creative mode or something like that, your achievements wont work.

If you changed/enabled any special settings for the world it may be the cause. Haven't confirmed 100% but that seems to be the issue for me.

I open an old save and pick a somersloop got the achivement ?!

The patch notes explicitly state all achievements are future, not retroactive. Loading old game should give zero achievements, assuming not bugged. They said it was 'a good reason' to start new game save, in order to get the new achievements. Makes sense.

p.s. edit to make clear that it should be possible to get achievements with existing save, but you will still need to re-do all the specific actions the achievement calls for. e..g pick an alien item, lay down another 5k foundations, etc.
