Dedicated Server
Some days ago we started a private dedicated server at 4players. We find out, that after some hours of noone connected to the server, the server is shutting down. So if someone wants to play, an admin has to start a savegame manually from the server dashboard ingame. Anyone has an idea of how to prevent the shutdown?

Is this a rented server from a company or your own kit?

If your own then it should not shutdown unless it crashes

If a rented server maybe they have some monitoring in place to shutdown servers to save themselves cash, I never has this happen with GTXGaming when I used them though.

Check here.
Just ofc be aware that this info might be outdated in about 1hr and 15mins.
But that setting would make sense to keep.

mAutoPause=False I think this setting is to pause the game when zero users are connected rather than keeping your factories running.

I do not believe it shuts down the server in the way the OP states?

Maybe you were referring to a different setting also :)

Some game server hosting companies will shut down the server when there are no connected users, unless you let them know or configure the server hosting options that the hosting company has given to you.

Support does not know any of this. They say they have nothing in effect which relates to my problem. Waiting for 1.0 to see if this happens again. Thanks for your time and information.

depend on who is administering the machine and how he/she had setup it

Maybe its crashing, this happened frequently when renting a server, I suspected a lack of RAM but after thinking about the costs over the years I decided it was worth investing in getting my old PC working which cost me a new motherboard at £50.
