Plus the alternate power cables that have lights in them can make for interesting factories.
The calendar gives you some good items outside of the ficsmas stuff. There's a stack of 20 power shards you can get from it at some point.
You can also sink the presents or other items. I think they're all worth the same though.
By far and and away the best reward for doing the event. Huge stacks and cheap to produce.
Other than that, not really. Just grab all the things off the calendar and you can pretty much ignore the event if you want. Even the snowballs, while nice, you still have nobelisk and if you automate production of such you probably have no issues with such.
oh well, still a fun game, just cant do it all.
It's actually easier this year than last year! Last year the final item in the production chain took twice as long to produce and needed more than twice as many Candy Canes per item crafted. It still is way too tedious and eats up enough real estate to fill five floors of a 10x10 tower complex just to get a rate of 2/min of the last item...
All in all, it took me about 18 hours of game time to get to producing the Giant Ficsmas Tree (I had already reached Tier 8 at the time).
You have a heavy work schedule... I get that, but you're finding some time to play this game too eh? So... are you able to squeeze in 18 hours to complete the Ficsmas production between 1st December and when the event expires in January? That should be doable. It's not as if you are forced to complete it before Xmas day right?
In any case, as others have noted above, you can do the event just to profit from the Advent Calendar goodies or if you can find the time, manufacture yourself some Wonderstars and plant some huge festive trees. The choice is up to you ;)
Personally, I haven't even started it yet. I haven't even played since the last event ended.
I may just crank it up and open the Advent calendar or I might just churn out a load more snowballs to add to my stocks from last time LOL.
I sure don't need any more giant trees, I planted forests of 'em!

Merry Ficsmas ;)
So, the only thing I would wish for would be actual snowfall ;)
With U5, there are a lot more particles and bugs flying around, so it seems entirely plausible.
