Question about trains

I've spotted a problem where iron is ending up in my copper train and I came here to find out if I've done something wrong

My copper station is behind my iron station and I've got it set up so if there's a train somewhere up ahead then it'll sit in the station and wait.
If my copper train moves up into the iron station and has to wait for the line ahead to become clear then will it auto fill with iron because it's docked there?

If that's not the cause then I'm puzzled how iron is getting into my copper train

Nope it reaches the station both ways but won't load the train

does the thing have to be full because it won't fill to the max the platform i mean

Also the platform will not take anymore items its got room but doesn't go in

Yes the train stops at the next station

when gets to station it comes up with press f to dock but won't do anything

Press F to dock?

The trains drive themselves - if your steering it - it won't load/unload. AFAIK. But I could be wrong.
