Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it's not happening. I shall post my problems on any and every platform I wish until the problem is fixed and you won't stop me. "we" don't care that you aren't having issues. If you aren't having issues and have no actual means to help, consider keeping your comments to your self.
This - granted some cannot afford more than one computer - but running a dedi at same time as the main rig for the game is a hazard - not saying its stupid or anything - its a fact in terms of today's economics - but it IS a known hazard - and can't surprise people that the hazard is going to cause complications.
This is of course presuming the specs on said machine is more than adequate and not falling short.

There are no issues starting, running, and playing on the server for me or any of my friends. The only issue is that I cannot DC from the server or else the server will shut down, and the issue only happens because I am running the server on my machine that I play from. This doesn't happen to every single server, but it has been happening to tons of people since launch and there has never been a fix for it. Many people's responses are "The only way I could get it to work is hosting the server on a different machine," but we shouldn't have to do that because running the server and playing on the server from the same machine shouldn't be an issue. The server takes up barely any resources. It is not at all hard to have a server and a player on one system in today's day and age.
another solution but not a real fix. Thanks for trying.
Bugs don't always happen to everyone. However, I just installed the dedicated server on my machine as test and the problem was reproduced every time I exited the game.
So in my case there is "we" in "I". And a simple search also supports that this issue exists for other people.
And the issue has been marked as "fixed internally set by the developer"

So maybe a fix will be made public soon.
Easy fix. (For me) Use firewall NAT functional to map another IP to your two way, and connect to it. Then server think you connected from another ip... I do it with linux iptables, but think it;s also possible with windows firewall.
Hoping it gets fixed soon as it's a bit of a pain. Friends connecting and re-connecting do not seem to cause the issue though. I have an overnight restart so have a kind of workaround.
That should isolate the network from your host.
