Is Ionized Fuel and Alien Power Matrix's worth it?

Synthetic Power Shards and Alien Power Matrix's take a lot of power to create. Has anyone done the math to see if these are worth it?

I love to make the Alien matrix, only to sink it, gives some good points. Ion fuel is a bit to much for the little gain (you don't get more power, only it burns slower). Thanks to the Alien thing I am on 250 coupons in 4 hours.... just letting the game run in the background to get the final 250 coupons needed, and doing other things while waiting

I have a couple thousand Alien Power Matrix's, but have 93 coupons on me with nothing to spend them on and 1,176 coupons in the sink. So "good coupons" ain't gonna help.

The recipe really looks like someone forgot that rocket fuel is 2x per bottle. Most other packages are 1:1. Even slooping the output doesn't help that much, the energy cost gets enormous. It looks like the alt recipe is mostly for quickly cranking out jetpack fuel, which is needed in such small supply the loss doesn't matter.

I don't have any Dark Ion Fuel recipe. Have found all alternate recipes (unable to scan hard drive (no rewards currently available). Nothing left in HUB to unlock.

Only if you are in Tier 9 you can get it, it is for the converter

Ionized fuel is more suited for jetpack. Almost doubling flight time per tank compared to rocket fuel with a little weaker thrust. Alien power matrix is for when you don't wanna expand your power production facilities. I mean, I get like 300GW while still using less than half of the available oil and compacted coal nodes so idk about that.

All of these new fuels (rocket, ionized, dark ion) do solve one problem. Finding enough sulfur for turbo fuel not a problem any longer. Since I use rocket fuel for all my fuel generators, I use very little sulfur. Most of my coal (1,800 p/m) is used in Particle Accelerators making Diamonds. A tiny bit of it is used to make packaged turbo fuel also for the diamonds.

With default recipes, yes. But you can make dark ion fuel which doesn't require power shards and you can fully skip the encoder.

And that is asinine that we HAVE to rely on alts just to make a recipe worth it

That is true for basically all the things in the game.

Don't bother with matrix. You are better off using those 10 sloops on your rocket fuel plant. Way better power gain that way.

Ionized fuel mostly is worth it just for the jetpack but only if you have synthetic shards or a boatload of them spare but be sure to somersloop it for best results. The power matrix isn't really worth it as the building burns through them too quickly and 10 somersloops are worth a lot in the endgame. By comparison it is easier to build 125 battery buildings or multiple oil node to fuel power plants for less overall. Another one which strikes me as needing a tweak is the fixonium fuel rod has a very short duration compared to uranium and plutonium if the wiki is correct.

Yes, it's not really useful to get power out of them directly. I think they intend it to just be a way to delete plutonium waste. So you can use plutonium rods for power without having to sink them. The plutonium rods are where the actual power comes from, not the ficsonium.

Ionized Fuel is a good alternative to batteries for drones and greatly increases their travel time.

It makes for a nice little bonus power but yeah, it's not gonna be your main power source when you already burned through uranium and plutonium rods to get there. It does support the company motto though. Fixit created that fuel because 'Fixit does not waste"
