achievements not unlocking

I have been playing 1.0 off line since its release and i downloaded it. My internet has been crappy is why. Today i went back on line and all the achievements i should have unlocked already are still locked. Am i going to have to start over to get those achievements?

So you have them active? If that is the case then you won't be able to get any achievements on that save file.

They are not active. never were active.

Fairly sure steam doesn't log your achievement unlocks for the next time you have a connection.

If you aren't connected when it triggers, you miss it. Though that may vary depending on the game, I dunno. Seems a safe bet given what happened here.

Yup. I think there was a post here before that achievements don't trigger if you're in offline mode or lose net access. So I guess Steam is not smart enough to "cache" the achievements in any way to account for them the next time you connect.

I've gotten plenty of achievements while offline, and they upload to Steam when I next have a connection. That's how I have most of my achievements in games that I play exclusively on my Steam Deck, which I play almost exclusively offline. In fact, because of this I have achievements that are timestamped before Steam says I ever played the game since last play time isn't tracked for offline play, and all achievements gotten offline will upload with the same timestamp. The only thing would be if the game itself won't track or trigger achievements if you're offline, Steam itself doesn't care one bit.
