Yes and no.

Will your native computer locally run Satisfactory? No.

Will your computer run it with all settings at Ultra after subscribing to Shadow[shadow.tech] and using it to "stream" from a computer hosted in the cloud? Yes. (This is what I do.)

Silly. Potatoes aren't computers.

I... stand corrected. My apologies.

Damn, if ONLY there was some sort of minimum system requirements section on the store page...

Oh wait

I've GTX970 - framerate mostly 60, rarely going up to 100.
You probably won't even be able to start the game, not to mention building anything worthwhile.

I'd consider upgrading to at least Turnip power, or maybe add a second potato working in tandem - the DRM included in most games is prob enough to use most of your resources lol.

Oh wait
Sometimes these minimum requirements aren't accurate at all.

You might be ok in the beginning with everything on low, but I see you having major performance issues once you start building more complicated parts and making worthwhile factories.

2008 puts you 4 or 5 generations behind the currently listed minimum requirements for your processor and graphics assuming you got cutting edge hardware at the time. I really wouldn't recommend it.

Even current gen computers struggle with bigger factories. As you will be placing many, many objects eventually overtime, it gets harder and harder for the pc to keep up with all objects. So all will get there, only with a low spec you'll reach this choke point far faster if it even runs fine in the start.
I'm using an AMD A8-5500 cpu from 2012 and a radeon rx 570.

The processor bottlenecks the graphics card HARD but I can still run the game, albeit poorly, on lowest settings.

Dont forget console commands. Setting foliage distance to zero, e.t.c.

Trains can be a huge performance hit if you build a lot of them. Enclosing the stations in a building so that you cannot see them/don't have to render them from a distance will make a major impact. Just thought I'd mention that as a tip, as I had this issue in my update 3 play through.

The game is a huge performance hog, but there are a lot of settings and building methods that can minimize it and let you build bigger. Still, I would doubt the owner of the original comment could even start the game.

That's true, but usually it's inaccurate because the minimum requirements given aren't high enough or have not been raised over time as the game has developed. Rarely is it because the minimum requirements are set too high.

If you are drastically below the minimum specs, it is safe to assume that you will not be able to run the game at a level that would be an enjoyable experience if at all.

This a real thing? Because this actually sounds pretty awesome for people who wanna play some high end games. I mean eventually the money spent would of equaled the price of a new computer but for the time being sounds like it could be fun.
