Troubles with (copy/paste)'ing Settings

It seems much more difficult to do now.

I remember years ago it was like it suddenly is now. I'll have to hold ctrl and hit c or v multiple times to get the settings to copy or paste.

Same for signs/screens. They take many presses of c/v to get settings copied and pasted.

Works fine here....had to copy/paste 40 some odd refineries. Dunno what to tell you.

You're not the only one, I have the same issue and it's appeared on 1.0.0.5.
Mods not working and the customization got buggy...etc :(

Same thing. just happened today. I spent multiple hours the past several days copy+pasting dozens and dozens of signs and buildings with no issue. today, the buttons seem to be lagging, not working consistently, etc. i can only think it's related to the update today?

I looked at keybinds, and it say "copy" is "right ctrl + c" and "paste" is "right ctrl+v". I (obviously) use left ctrl for ctrl+C and ctrl+V, but even switching those hotkeys didn't seem to fix it. It's just not as responsive, consistent, or snappy as it was just yesterday.

Ok, i just tried something else that seems to be an ok workaround for now

Go to Options -> Keybinds -> and find Clipboard copy and Clipboard paste.

Try changing the respective hotkeys from ctrl+c and ctrl+v to a single key. For example, I changed "Clipboard Copy" to F1 and "Clipboard Paste" to F2.

Upon testing in my game, it seems to have the snappy, familiar responsiveness of before.

My keybinds are the same and I've been using left ctrl+c / v all day. - Don't think keybinds are doing this.

Just fyi, copy/paste doesn’t work on extractor (miners, oil, water, Pressurizer)

I changed mine to mouse buttons. It is much lessy annoying.

I see... I supposed it's as good a time as any to set the game aside for now and wait for a fix.

Mods: please put me on whatever list necessary to ensure that I'm notified in some way when the fix comes. Thanks.

It happens to me too, but since 1.0. Ctrl+C sometimes doesn't copy, but if I click on "Copy Settings", something restarts and works again... the same thing happens with vehicles. Especially the ones that I just spawned... sometimes the "trunk" doesn't open to put fuel in it, I have to get in, get out and then I can open it.

Came here to throw my complaints onto the fire as well. It's driving me up the wall. That's a great vehicle idea-- but for real tho it's aggravating.

I'd write more but my experiences mirror your own OP. It's got that "is my keyboard broken?" feeling to it right now.

Thanks, to you and others here. Glad I'm not the only one. The way it was working nicely a week ago and feels like this now had me convinced I had just changed or broken something myself lol

Got the same prob with pasting, cant go fast as it was. need to wait that the message Setting Pasted fades away. very anoying.
