Walls and windows overlapping

Hi fellow pionneers,

I used to be able to overlap windows with walls for fancy decoration, but not anymore since update 1.0. Windows seems to reject any builds that intersect with them (red hologram). I am quite frustrated, it mess with my designs.

Do you have the same issue ?

Try nudging to see if you can override it...it lets me do that some times.

This rarely occurs for me and only when centers cross -- as Fenix pointed out.

Try zooping the window into the wall or vice-versa, which works most of the time for me.

Related - triangular walls can overlap only some of the windows, but not all.
E.g. you can with the hex frame window, but not the new honeycomb window

Thanks @Kage Goomba and @Maehlice for your feedback. Indeed some positions are fine with overlapping. I was insisting on the bottom down center, but upper positions works just fine.

use pieces that can attach to your walls and give you different anchor points. Road Barriers are great for that.

Remove the barrier when no longer needed.
