Excess water?
Why does this game about FACTORIES not have a drainage pipe for excess water? what kind of factory am i supposed to build where i cant dump my wastewater back into the lake where i got it from? You want me to flush manually? Or recycle it? I really didnt get this vibe from a game that told me to exploit the area to my hearts content...
Give me a damn open pipe or i swear ill mod it in...

Why?
Because the game design has that as the challenge at this level of progression

Dumping water is inefficient, just ask ADA.

Why don't you just limit your input to match your consumption?

But you could also put it in a container and sync it.

Waste Water can be handeled one of three ways

1: You tank it - and flush it every so often (bad idea)
2: You package it and sink it (better idea)
3: You recycle it back into the system and use it for Coal Power Plants or any recipe that requires water. (best idea)

Welcome to the world of handling waste byproducts - water is the EASIEST to handle of them all.

If you fold up at the prospect of recycling excess water back in to the system, and there are scores of Youtube videos that show how to to do this, you have no hope at coping with late game tasks. Just wait for AI Expansion Modules, Thermal Engines, Director Assemblies, and the dreaded Heavy Modular Frames, Oh the humanities! Let the pearl clutching begin.

2.5 - use the wet concrete recipe to use it up making concrete and sink that. Easier than making canisters

Early game? Doesn't matter. Water in pipes is harmless, just let it be.
Aluminum processing? Dunk it into a coal plant. Fluids fill up a network according to gravity, so you can make a literal fluid overflow valve by having the pipe hump up and over into a coal plant.

Dump is dumb. Just build a proper circuit to re-use it. It's easy a.f. to achieve this...

That's point 3 - keep reading next time. :)

I try to go for 100% recycle systems. If I can't do that then wet concrete sink. Limestone is usually around where anything useful is.

No sewage system! Got too much fluid? Packaging is the way to go. We even have a BOGOF sale due to an excess of sloops. Oh man this is just ..... like how many times .... infinite I suppose.

I do agree with OP. And yes, I can handle surplus water just fine. I still think we should be able to dump it into a body of water with an 'exit pipe'. It's not about skill but about a trivial limitation.

We should be able to create waterfall.

Aesthetically pleasing factory does increase machine efficiency after all, right? ...Right?
