I only used rebar up to now and I find this rifle ammo ... yeah, well, maybe I need get to used to like with every weapon first. So far though I am not impressed.
Default rifle ammo single shot burst over long distance is what seems to be the most useful so far. Only that way, as sniper rifle, it's superior than rebar gun I find ATM.
But then I train months with rebar gun and amunition types and with the rifle just this night. Just wanted to hear around what other people think about this piece of equipment.
But, meh, I've moved on to nobelisk now, specifically clusterlisk for single targets/tight caves and nukelisk for rad hogs. One-boom, one-or-more-kill all the way. Oh, and pulselisk+basher when I want to get somewhere in an instant, too.
Are saying even with homing ammo you should tab or they will increasingly miss the target, especially at larger distance?
I tried the pulsnobelisk to my feet trick but didnt work well in update 8. Put like 5 on the ground, stepped on it and striked them with basher. I think I didnt get higher than 30 - 50 meter. That was not even close to travel the map.
I use the pulse nobelist especially vs big hogs on mountain tops, they fly very good.
So, yeah, you can safely lump them up with the rest of the ammo types.
I usually put 8-10 for a quarter of a map range, and 15 to cover entire map. Make sure you put them all on the exact spot so you can have easier time aiming to your destination.
