anything you placed remains.

Should be able to keep your stuffs - but you won't be able to build anything new - recipes go away.

Course with 1.0 - they may have changed some things.

Now I was told if you don't touch anything - automation keeps going - but if you attempt to change/adjust?

But that was a loooong time ago.

but the event runs into mid january...probably the 18th but I dont remember exactly. So quite a bit of time past the 25th where you can have everything unlocked by then.

Just find a nice spot on the map and build yourself a Grotto.
Then over the next year you can take a break from automation and visit the Grotto.

I am going to build mine around a train station called "The North Pole"

Last year on my main save ,U8, I went around and made ALL the power lines string lights.
