Im covering the whole map with a giant floor above it.
Ive built around 20,000 foundations but when i check the interactive map to check my progress the buildings created and parts used dont match up with what ive used. Why is that? It takes around 30,000(ive used close to 100,000 now) concrete each pass yet its saying ive only ever used 14,000.

Ive calculated it and it will take around 20 hours to do so, and over 1.5 million concrete and 600,000 plastic. Yet the interactive map section called "parts used" says Ive so far only used 1000 plastic and 14000 concrete

As of now only thing that can think of is an issue in the calculator..
Hadn't been on that site recently, but last time I used it, you could choose between EA and release 1.0 ...
Don't know if that is also now... Eventually double check (don't think is your case though)

You will soon be very bored with your big floor. Did one floor over Dune Desert and soon after I quit this session out of boredom. GranddaddyPurple prooved to be right.

Who is granddaddy purple? and ive done so with every automation game Ive played. I love setting up giant facilities and trains, I love trains.

Hope you started at level (or above) maximum height terrain... Basically rocky desert on top of a willy coyote cliff that accidentally give also an achievement for being there...

With a concrete world, you can have concrete possibility to build a train line that goes straight from A to B

Giant facilities are surely nice, if you manage to blend them with the local environment. Some of the best architects in Satisfactory have trees and rocks and waterfalls inside their buildings and it looks really awesome.

if you just build on a giant, empty platform with no nature the game pretty soon gets very boring.

I started it slightly below the tallest cliffs, I feel that it would give some scenery, plus I can always cover it with metal push comes to shove

I personally love it, I did it on a previous save before 1.0 but stopped because it was to tedious and only did it over the desert, now with dimensional depots and zoop, I can cover the whole map finally. It wont be boring for me, I want to cover it all. If i could erase all of the fauna I would.
