Horizontal industrial storage containers

A number of my blueprints would be much more elegant if I could just knock the industrial storage container over. Having the inputs / outputs be side by side would avoid some real spaghetti conveyor belt setups. A nice side effect would be how much more stable they'd look when stacked.

I agree with you, I wish we could do the same with the train station outputs, or re-arrange the inputs on the blender - back-to back they don't mirror nice to feed from a central splitter/pipe junction. Neither do refineries (you can offset and pick pipe OR belt input, then need to double-up on the other) but that isn't as bad as the blenders.

If it is still being maintained, there's a mod that does just that very thing you suggest and adds several other shapes/capacities. If you're playing vanilla, (like me) then you'd need to wait for a modded playthrough.

I could see the video if they introduced such a feature - the pioneer is straining against the box trying to knock it over, a couple lizard doggos show up to try to help without much luck, then a space whale tick thing (bean) bumps into it, knocking it over.

There was some mods that had containers of different sizes and some of the larger ones had ports on all 4 sides. I am not sure that mod got updated to 1.0 but it may have.

Also agree. Nice to have the option. Throw it in the shop to be bought for coupons!
