Am I the only one playing with a controller?
OK, you can laugh at me now.

Thanks! At least I am not totally alone. I am in no way saying it is superior or even equal but I just enjoy it this way.

I would never ever play with a controller. With that I don't say I don't with satisfactory...
I say that I don't use it with other games as well ... Too lazy to learn to use one of those infernal machines called joypad... Are Absolute Devil.
How can I be supposed to aim at something?
All I can do is loot at sky or my foots....

Better get back to my old and trusted keyboard+mouse combo

Ehehe
I also use the controller even though it's a bit slower to build things, but I can't use the mouse/keyboard for more than 10 minutes.

I use Steam's custom input but I only have one problem with Windows 11 which for some reason I can't figure out, the keyboard has to be reset with fn + L Shift after quitting the game.

Well, people have played Dark Souls on a banana.

Well played. I just told a friend that 'Low Standards is playing with a controller', then realized what I said.

How do you have it set up and have you had any issues that needed worked around?

how? does it load ok with larger worlds? do you have to limit what you build/ amount of trains/ belts etc?

Performance wise; it's a mixed bag, i run 1.0+ on proton experimental with almost all ultra graphics, fps ranges from 60-45 highest and 45-30 lowest depending on what i look at, i'm sure i could optimize for fps but it looks so good. as for how hard i push the game i mostly play on a server with a friend so load times are fairly quickly. back in early access this was a different story however

Think of this dudes! We buy these somewhat expensive game computers with GPUs that require an entire city to run and the Steamdeck without anything gets competitive speed and it isn't even on Windows. Amazing. Technology is a changing.

Not the case with every game though.. Satisfactory is the most stable game to date i've had since i got my deck.. some games won't run properly on it.. *coughspaceengineerscough* because it's a linux pc and they fear linux for some reason.. but yeah the deck has pro's and con's.. the cons being the updates for its OS are janky, and the battery drains fast... but i came from consoles after being bored for years of not having good games... now 727hrs into satisfactory and still trying to figure out the Quantum physics parts for the end game lol... i spent most of my time just watching the factories go
