How do i share my dedicated server with other people?

So, i wanted to try dedicated server, and viewed countless videos and endless pages on wiki etc. only to find out it takes 5 minutes on steam to make the server work, create a game and start playing for my self.
Hense all the info on setting server up, i found NOTHING about how other people can find my server, see the server adress or log into my server.
In the game menu "server management" i can see various info about the server ... except the "adress" which is the only info i need, to be able to share and invite others.
What "adress" do i need to give others and where do i find it?

Have your server connect to http://whatismyip.com. That's one way to find out what its external facing IP address is if it can connect to the internet.

If you don't already know how, I wouldn't recommend it without doing a lot of research and self learning on self hosting a server.
For your friends to be able to access it, you have to make the computer accessible from the Internet, which means anyone on the Internet can attempt to access it in any number of ways. You need to understand the nature of those security risks and how to mitigate them.

As far as the actual sharing of your IP address goes, once you figure out what your global IP address is you contact your friends and send them a message with the IP address in it. Last I heard they don't allow people to post their IP address publicly here on the message board so if you are looking for people to share your IP address with you post a message in the Looking for Group sub-forum telling people that you are running a dedicated server and you are looking for people to play with and ask those people to send you a friend request on Steam, then you add them as friends and send them a private message through Steam chat with your server's IP address so they can enter that address into the game to connect to your server.
