You can not edit vehicle paths other than if you have waypoints shown you can go to one and remove a waypoint, no option to add or replace it. So you have to record the path over again from scratch.

Unless something has changed that I havent seen, not saying my response is "the law" lol

i thought they changed it in the experimental branch
you can only Edit the Pauses for any configuration, which is only duration spent idle (loading, unloading or refuelling)

you can however delete or move existing nodes along the path, you will need to enter the vehicle that occupies that path to access the nodes. i typically remove a few nodes to clean up the path so its easier to tell it from others, then i move the nodes into more consistent positions, making sure no other paths collide

Then how do you "move existing node along the path" then?

i'm sure you're clever enough to figure it out.
I have a problem here. If I delete a path the nodes for it don't disappear. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Did you save that path?
Of course I saved the path. So you're telling me I shouldn't save the path?

So, even if I don't save the route, the nodes are still there. So I would definitely need to delete them one by one. There needs to be a way to clean up the vehicle nodes automatically. This is tedious when I want to redo a shipping route.

Saving it is for when you want more than one vehicle to use that path. That's why it doesn't disappear when you delete it from one vehicle.
Okay so walk me through how to delete the nodes please? It is a hassle.

Get inside a vehicle (preferably the one you recorded the path with), press q, click the folder as you probably saved a path, select the path and click delete (if there is no path there select all vehicles tab and delete it from there). If you saved a path the nodes won't delete itself when you remove the path from the one vehicle that's using it.
Okay nevermind I figured it out. Each vehicle has its own saved path, if you don't "record" over it it doesn't get deleted. It all makes sense now.

Thanks got it.
