If you’re running nuclear power plant with the beacons recipe, it’s screwed.
On the other hand, you may want to just look around, spend some time learning controls and basic mechanics as 1.0 will not be drastically different. So whatever you learn now, will not be wasted and it might be easier to start a new save when 1.0 is out.
When the balance changes nothing in a specific production line, that part of the factory will work without the need to fix.
When the balance changes the ratio but does NOT change the parts in the production line you can easyly fix it by tweaking the production rates or adding overflow systems
When the balance DOES change the required parts you need to replan the changed parts. Probally a tedious job but it's still doable.
The only thing really required to keep a current playthrough playable is leaving space for expansion in your factories and add some power storages/ power switches.
The only thing you might not be able to fix on your main save is the story
I can't wait! Literally, I'm not doing well at waiting patiently.
There is the problem of missing story elements, but I'm interested to find out more about what that is like. If it's just a series of message/emails coming in, I might just youtube it. If it's interactive quests with a lot of back story, I'll restart some day to see it
Yeah why would you not want to restart ? An old world is done, you did all the planing and building, instead of fixing everything for every update why not start fresh and do it better this time ?
