Besides, on a system that old most likely your CPU, RAM and HDD are not up to the task either. It's not just the GPU that matters.
OS: Windows 10 or later (64-Bit)
Processor: i5-3570k 3.4 GHz 4 Core (64-Bit)
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 660 2GB
Storage: 20 GB available space
Additional Notes: Broadband Internet connection
You can always purchase from steam and try it, refund before two hours if rubbish
Nvidia GTX 1650/GTX 1050Ti is the minimum required.
Buying games all the time, but can play them only with low settings and low fps.
Why not put your money into a better computer - why wasting it always in games?
Just stop looking for "new" games.
Keep your money and build your own computer.
Pay it with 30€ each month.
Problem solved.
And to the topic about specs:
Don´t forget that this game need much more power, if you want to build big factories and lots of stuff.
These specs on store page are wrong and pretty useless.
Because it´s like:
"You need this to start the game and play few hours.."
but if you want to play mid-end game, the min. spec is not playable.
For me with an i7 and 2070 Armor: dropped from 150 to 70 FPS.
Just because all these "traffic" ingame, which will slow down everything.
Even if you have the minimum spec, you could play few hours but never will reach the end tiers, because there are too much traffic (data) ingame.
Another thing is, gpu and cpu isn´t important for him.
He has an old HDD, low Mhz Ram.. which will slow down this game more.
And I bet he has only one drive (C), it will slow down again.
And these drives need 20% space. I bet it´s already full and slow down anything again.
I´m sure that his gpu isn´t the biggest problem here.
You could run CrystalDiskInfo and I´m sure there are corrupted files for this old HDD.
You can build a good, basic computer for 700-800 euro.
Playing games on mid-high (new games).
It´s better than buying more games with this old thing.
No, I don't think that would be a very fun experience for you. It's a very demanding game, especially later as you develop your factory. If you find yourself struggling against both the game's imposed resource limitations and stuff availability (ie, gameplay mechanics) alongside your real world hardware imposed limitations, I think you will find those two challenges are a real struggle to reconcile, and it will be frustrating.
I have to agree with other users who have suggested that you instead focus your financial resources towards acquiring newer hardware, even if just the GPU (and possibly faster ram, always helpful). Ultimately you'll be better off making that investment sooner than later.
edit: while I generally try to avoid suggesting any other specific games within Satisfactory's forums, I think in this case it might be acceptable so what I'd suggest is maybe you'd like Planet Crafter, which I very much enjoyed, it also has a 'build giant factory' kind of thing going on, and its FAR less demanding of your system. You would definitely be able to play that one with what you have.
