But until you try it for yourself you won't know for sure.
Update 8 isn't a perfect state, mind you... it's fun, I enjoy it, but it's got a lot of minor problems... also v1.0 comes out on the 10th of next month, which hopefully fixes the most of issues the game has.
But like a lot satisfactory
I find it calming to sit there and ponder on your factory layout from an outlook with some cozy background music. There is no rush that I'll run out of materials, so I can take my sweet time doing it and no enemies that will come smash my base since I'm not doing stuff fast enough.
I really really hated Satisfactory a while back, since I found the initial game so grueling (having to make these manual miners and carry stuff by hand) but I recently started playing again and noticed that you can skip the first two tiers and start with automatic miners. What made me get back into the game was this cool video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL2UCTZm8Vw
I didn't like Factorio for other reasons, but find Satisfactory to be great. Mostly because it's far more flexible in its building mechanics due to the 3d nature.
But satisfactory isn't AN adventure/exploration game, make no mistake - the main factor is your factory.
Basically - satisfactory has elements that may make it more interesting for you than factorio, but in the end, they are very much the same type of game. Wether you might like it better... the proof of the pudding is in the eating, they say.
So probably not, but I love both so I dunno.
Satisfactory is sandbox for 120% of the time and there comes a little lore/ story with the 1.0 release.
There is no other objective than feeding the space elevator and make a factory to get it done.
If automated power or automated steel is too easy you can make yourself depend on kill count to keep the factorie running but that's about all the excitement you can get from combat
If that's correct then stay away from Satisfactory. This game is even slower and even more pointless. As in there is literally no rush to do anything, the gameplay that's there is slower paced too, and there is literally no point to anything you do, not even a distant objective like launching a rocket. You might just not understand the appeal of sandbox video games, and that's okay.
And no - neither game are flawless but the main mistake many does is to do a direct comparison and that just won't work.
Personally, I would put Factorio more up against *Oxygen Not Included and Dyson Sphere Program than Satisfactory in how it it feels and how you play it, but where ONI shines Factorio is just over-complicated and somewhat annoying over time for it's own good (I hate those &%/&%/ science packs). Sure, it's fun to nuke a few millions bugs and shoot up a rocked but you can only do so many times before the game becomes boring.
For me, that was after just 70-80 hours. I did sometimes boot up Factiorio because I prefer the beginning of the game but I haven't in years now.
Where Factorio shines is the intricate logic system and how you design things like a computer networks et cet. but then it is no longer a casual game in my mind (to be fair, you can achieve some in Satisfactory too via mods). And no, there is zero personal exploration/adventure in Factorio.
Satisfactory IS the perfect combo between relaxed casual playing and factory construction without being tedious or over-complicated, with a dash of exploration and minor combat to take a small break from all the planning and building (even after 800+ hours now).
Satisfactory is more relaxed in the sense that the enemies are more controllable to handle,
and the beautiful sky-view.
In satisfactory i am feeling more a part of the game itself, because of the different point of view.
In faktorio I can do things much faster (also because of the point of view i think)
And in faktorio i have more control and overview how automation works out.
And i like the trains more in faktorio than satisfactory (i dont know what to think, but the trains in Satisfactory are a bit too 'heavy' to handle, and not nice to see. But that is my opinion :)
Was it the supply chains and calculations that turned you away, you will probably feel the same way about this game.

I find the question very good and relevant.
He even brought in a game he did not like to compare with so fk off with your jester bs..
He is asking for advice, why ridicule that?
