Getting my PC ready for 1.0
I have been playing Satisfactory base level and my rig so far is okay, but I wouldn't mind a bit of an upgrade.

ASRock MB450M Pro 4
AMD Ryzen 3 3200 F
RX580 graphics
32G DDDR2?

I am thinking of getting a Ryzen 5600X or 5600G. Not sure which.

I could use some advice on upgrading, within a limited budget. What would you swap out?

Thanks.

Is that a serious question? 100% the 7 year old video card.

I've always been a rev or two behind. I got that vid card when they were coming out of bitcon machines, very cheap. I'm retired and very poor. I can't go out to dinner, so I stay home and play game. Do you have recommendations for an upgrade?

Is this a good enough graphics card? Used is within my budget.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X 12GB Video Card GPU

Defos get a new card. I have a 1070 Ti that can just barely handle this game and it came out in the fall of the same year as the 580. I'm pretty sure anything newer than that would work, so yes; a 5600 would be a good purchase (released 2022). Just check pcpartpicker to make sure everything's compatible (and it would fit in your case). Happy building.

I don't recall the details but there were some reasons reviewers used to advise against Titan cards for gaming. Maybe it was just too expensive (poor price to performance ratio) when they were new, or something, but do your research. But I'd try to get a regular non-Titan GPU instead.

Also if this is the same GTX Titan X I'm thinking about, that's an ancient tech, older than a 1050/1060 so that would be a waste of money.

This the one?

If so, that's a boosted GTX980. This is below minimum hardware requirements for Satisfactory. Bad choice for modern gaming. You need something substantially better than that.

You sure that your RAM is DDR2? Because your CPU doesn't support that.
As for GPU: You can get used GTX1080 GPUs pretty cheap used.

Though when you say limited budged you should always state said budget.

i'm on a MSI B450
i switched out a ryzen 3 1300x for a ryzen 5 3600, switched 16gb@3000 ddr4 for 32gb@3600 and switched the mechanical drive for an ssd, kept the 8gb rx570 vidcard, 250 euro upgrade :steamhappy:

As I said elsewhere, I don't have a budget. I have a need. lol I haven't gotten deep into the game, as I'm really waiting for 1.0. My 580 handles the first tiers, but I'm not putting a lot on it. It is the first time I've ever heard the fans run. I can pick up a GTX1080 for a little over a hundred on e-bust, if that would be a good upgrade. I'm concerned about the CPU.

I guess I'm going to have to get on the floor and crack the case to see about the memory, but I'm not terribly concerned about it. It ran CS with about a thousand mods. I understand about the video card upgrade. Not much of a bump for the cost.

Thanks for the help, y'all. A budget is beyond my means. However, I will invest what I have to, because I MUST make the factory grow.

houghi suggested that I wait until after the release to see what issues may come up.
Gpu , ram and board are all fine for satis, my kits pritty much the same in comparison and i run it on high/ultra with little issue.

your problem is that cpu. its fairly weak for modern games.

My RAM is DDR 3200. I think that's good enough. Right?

You're saying you run this game on High/Ultra on a GPU that barely meets the minimum hardware requirements? At what resolution and what FPS?

I think I'm down to an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D or a Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which is quite a bit less, if the trade-off is not way less? Opinions?

Honestly, you are talking to a 5 year old here. I haven't a clue how to find those numbers. Sorry.
