So what does everyone want in Satisfactory 2?
Because it's never too early to start that kind of discussion!

Things I'd want to see:
-Wider tree, more ways of making export parts.
--As part of that 4 or more new resources
-While we don't know what the story for 1 will be, I like the idea of having subtle hints you're a corporate drone working for an evil corp (IE Alien's Weyland Yutani)
-Dynamic goals. IE After finding an artifact you have a limited time to make a thing(s) and send it off (based on currently unlocked tech level)
-Greater number of lifeforms. Making them more specialized and unique to each biom.
-Make gear and vehicles upgradeable with rare materials
-Re-do how fluids move about with an amount and a pressure value in each segment (getting fluids to work as-is is frustrating)

Nah. That would ruin the game and become yet another boring survival game.
What would be way better is new maps or extensions to existing one.
I would rather have CSS expand on the existing game than straight go to No.2

We don't know what the story is yet, nor what is/has been added to the game besides what's been teased in release date trailer.
I'd say, lets wait 'till 10/09 and then we can see what the base is. ;)

1) Procedurally generated maps with more different biomes possibly affecting gameplay. I.e. artic biome where water freezes unless heated
2) more power options. i.e. I'd love being able to build massive dams over falls and probe/drill for deep geothermal sources
3) options to have randomized alt recipes in place of the standard ones and no hard drives, so you'd have to adapt every time
4) more options for logistics, i.e. cargo ships and power-consuming, crate-shooting railguns with EM "nets" to capture the incoming high-speed deliveries

Songs of Syx requires "active imagination". This game requires mastering the tech tree, building your first few successful factories...............and then............??? It is a "good game" until you get good. Then it is just boring. Subnautica was a really good model for a "non -violent" based game that managed to keep threats, terror, and "combat" of a form against the environ. Loved it. It also has "replayability issues"...but the story was good enough to pick it up again once in a while. The lore and world was still fun to muck about in. This one is rather empty to a great many of us I think. As to my personal imagination and basis for comparison......I was a kid when Atari came out. I have been "gaming" since 1980. I have owned and played on every console that has ever existed "Neo Geo "included and have been PC gaming since 1999. I daresay I have a better list of gaming "history" than most. Rather than being a snarky $*1t on the boards to folks....mebbe listen instead of taking a criticism of a game as an attack on your personal beliefs. A game is not a "flag" to fly ffs. It is just a game and this one is missing some serious replayability features in my personal opinion. It is fun....the first few times. I want it to get better such that I feel compelled to play it more than three times after 1.0. Perhaps the "story" will add enough.......I think not but we will see I suppose. At the end....I feel the cash was well spent because it IS FUN.......but gets old very very fast. Like most art that is a "first of it's kind", Satisfactory has "hit" on a really cool combo......but I think a lot of us are left feeling limp after the sparkle has worn off.

space. Multiple maps linked by ship trading routes, with asteroid exploitation, offworld rocket fuel generation, low gravity...
I feel multiple smaller or generated maps with each their own ressources and challenges to overcome would be great! you'd need to maybe start over on each map, but with some rogue like permanent perks to unlock or work towards.
I'd love to also have a central space station to build a factory on, to asssemble ships or final products for some project, with its own challenges.

The gameplay loop works fine so i guess the next step could be expantion.
