More Games like this?
I am currently looking for more games like Satisfactory. I just have 1 request: It should be 1st or 3rd person, so not like Factorio. It doesn't have to be Automation, but it should be similar. So maybe stuff like Space Engineers too. Just games for chilling, where you are able to build factories or stuff. The building should be in focus, so please no survival crafting games like Palworld.

I already know Foundry, but it's a bit too minimalistic imo.

Do you have any interesting suggestions?

Dyson sphere program id put at 1 you should check out.
Factorio the og of the genre
Foundry looks like if factorio/satisfactory/Minecraft had a child.
I've tested DSP so far. I must say it's really good. I like the defense system and the fact that you are able to visit other planets. It's like building your own little space empire. The only thing i don't like is the camera perspective and the fact that it isn't in my language, but i can live with that.

I hear Astro Colony is neat.
It's a nice game. Also the dev responded very fast. When I started the game two days later the in-game equipment description was updated, he really listens to the community.

DSP drains away the hours. It's great, especially at that price. The Planet Crafter is also fun, but it's somewhere halfway between Satisfactory and Subnautica. You need to build a lot for terraforming, but plopping down machines just about anywhere without order is fine, and the total playtime is fairly short (well, relatively). Foundry looks promising, especially since you can dig down and hide conveyor belts in the ground (so nice when you can't fly), but it's very early days for it. The tech tree is very Factorio-like from what I've read, but highly unfinished.

Not sci-fi or factory building but I've recently gotten into Valheim.
Beautiful third person viking game where you explore, upgrade your character/equipment and build homes/bases.
There is combat but you can pick and choose when to engage so finding it ok.
Unless you are in combat, it has a lovely laid back vibe to it.
Really enjoying it.

Just stumbled across another upcoming game: Eden Crafters. There's a prologue you can try for free here on Steam. It's like The Planet Crafter meets Satisfactory. Like most of these, it's possibly years away from a finished game, but at least it's a growing genre.

Is it really that obvious? Not to me :)
