Also those specs on the store are out of date... 1650 is going to struggle.
So I was using a laptop with a 3050 ti, it run ok- ish.
I don't feel like going through the whole refund thing. I've got 3 or 4 other games to buy before the sale ends if I skip this for now.
Is there a way I can test the game with a lot of stuff going on? Is there a benchmark in game?
Lots of prolonged stuttering that eventually settles down.
Everything on high, I'm getting around 70 fps mostly. With global Illumination (medium) it's mostly in the 40's, and never drops to 30's. Very happy with this.
I know things will get bad, but this will be manageable.
My first Unreal 5 game!
Global Illumination doesn't use hardware acceleration of any sorts, so there is a significant performance penalty. You may want to consider turning that off. It's an experimental feature anyway, not supported by the devs, it's there simply because "it comes with UE5" and it makes the game dark. Factory lights look better with it but with 1650 you'll be wise to avoid lots of lights in this game anyway.
And yeah, FPS may/will drop as your world grows.
