Smoke stacks…

There are some pretty creative people out there. There is no smoke, but at least it looks like you have vents on top of the building, or duct work inside your factory. :)
Also, you'd HATE the Splitgate devs, but at least their game is dead now after they spent its entire lifespan refusing to add new weapons or movement mechanics or basically anything of consequence. Random tangent, I know, but those guys always pissed me off
Pullotion is not really the reason why I find it a bad answer. It's this whole "exploit and lumber the whole planet" story which is very bad. I hate such dismal settings. That's adding nothing to my life. I prefer by bar if games and movies give me a good feeling.
==> The smoke stacks alone of smelters, etc. are no problem for me. They look pretty. And in the settings we can adjust how big the smoke stacks/clouds are.
BTW: In case you don't see them you can adjust your graphic settings.
