Add Smokestacks
They'd look really cool and I want them. SO I have said, and thus so it must be.

Smoke stacks…
I mean big industrial brick ones that actually work, maybe as part of a ventilation system or something, I've always disliked how you can just have smelters billowing smoke indoors with 0 consequences

If you use Blueprints... check this out.

There are some pretty creative people out there. There is no smoke, but at least it looks like you have vents on top of the building, or duct work inside your factory. :)

I can understand if the game was designed with that in mind, but you're asking for something to be added where it's only purpose is busywork for the player to effectively throw something out and introduce some kind of pollution aspect. This isn't Captain of Industry.

When players asked Coffee Stain for a form of renewable energy, their reply was there will never be anyhing like that. We want you to pollute the map.

Indeed. Very bad answer. Of all the early access games I played CSS is by far the least forthcoming dev studio.

Don't think it's a bad answer. Renewable energy (which isn't what I'm asking for here) like solar or water power would be ridiculously overpowered. Would make power plant building obsolete, and with it would also go the need to make sure you aren't using too much power.

Also, you'd HATE the Splitgate devs, but at least their game is dead now after they spent its entire lifespan refusing to add new weapons or movement mechanics or basically anything of consequence. Random tangent, I know, but those guys always pissed me off

Factory ventilation (or lack there of) has always been something that's annoyed me a little.. One of the very few things I'd like to see, but realise how impractical it would be to implement.

I thought it was a great answer.

Please don't parrot Snutt :hjpstar: Green energy is only overpowered if you program it to be overpowered.

Pullotion is not really the reason why I find it a bad answer. It's this whole "exploit and lumber the whole planet" story which is very bad. I hate such dismal settings. That's adding nothing to my life. I prefer by bar if games and movies give me a good feeling.

==> The smoke stacks alone of smelters, etc. are no problem for me. They look pretty. And in the settings we can adjust how big the smoke stacks/clouds are.

BTW: In case you don't see them you can adjust your graphic settings.

The good feeling comes from the number going up. Green energy would mean now number needs to down, and that feels very bad.

The good feeling comes from restoring the planet

The planet doesn't need restoration, it's pristine and our actions hardly turn it into a grey muddy smoggy hell. I'd argue this game is verging on utopian honestly
