Just copy the files, ZIp them up and put them somewhere safe.
When you want to return to Update 8, just make a shortcut to the exe, and edit the path
to "FactoryGame.exe -NoSteamClient -epicportal"

I have been using -NoMultiplayer -NoSteamClient for Single player.
I guess what you posted is to allow Multiplayer?

You can still connect to dedicated servers, yes... but this basically does the same thing as no multiplayer. Your command line would do same thing as mine to play Update 8 copied to a new folder.

You can continue to play it if you want. Though with recipes changing you might need to fix some stuff.

there are rules about price increases etc. they have to wait 30 days or so i believe? he said news on release SOON. maybe live stream tuesday? said they won't toss it on out plate without some notice either, so i assume august in the month. maybe 11th as an exact.
