Unless you havent done this before, in which case use the basic stun prod and poke them, will cause the stack to detonate all at once. Individually the nobelisk arent that strong, but stacks are
What do you exactly mean with "stun prod"?
And then with "the distance the stun prod can trigger"?
and with "use the basic stun prod"?
He is proposing to hit the staple of pulse nobelisks with the basher to make them explode all at once.
I gonna try this. I was afraid they would hae nerfed the stun nobelisks but if it's only the basher, then it should still work. I might lay the nobelisks on a 4-5 meter foundament to speedily slide jump over them. The range of the basher is 4 meters
Okay more details on using nobelisk, sorry for not being clearer.
So nobelisk, when you place multiple, will always detonate in a sequence, and cannot be used to detonate each other. It looks cool, but has dubious functionality. The only way to detonate them simultaneously is if you detonate them manually with the xeno-zapper. You poke them point blank. Yes, the range of the xeno-zapper is pitiful. So its pretty silly way to blow yourself up UNLESS you're using pulse nobelisk. (supposedly the basher can do this too?)
Individual pulse nobelisk don't have much force, but a single pulse nobelisk combined with running slide-jump is decent for traversal. You can do this easily with some timing of the detonation. However if you REALLY want those big distances that hypertube cannons are known for, or just larger jumps, then you need to lay stacks of pulse nobelisk.
About 5 stack will get you a kilometer, an 8 stack is sufficient for a few kilometers, and 10-12 will get you just about anywhere on the map. Works wonders with biofuel powered jetpacks. Well, these are old numbers back when you could run-slide jump and use the zapper. You need to stand juuust off to the side when poking so you don't go straight up, but not too far off to the side or you'll just go sideways. Ideal launch angle is 30-60 degrees.
