Do animals heal?

If you have no time to finish off and other pressing matters to do, will they heal resp. despawn and then respawn at full health again?

Also asking because Update 8 has this max number of active animals issue. Unsure if hurt animals keep the health stat and would count towards this number or not.

I can't help you with the max number of animals but from what I noticed creatures do respown.

I've read somewhere here that once you take over specific nodes or build some buildings creatures stop to spawn but I have some of them respawning and getting stuck in between buildings.

very easy to notice with Xenobasher. Hogs need 2 full hits to die, if you need more than +/- 10 seconds between those 2 hits you'll need a 3rd before they die

Though according to the fandom wiki hogs have 20 HP and Xeno_Basher deals 9 damage. But nevertheless I will check that out.

That is the official wiki. But I always end up on fandom, like it way better.

I just checked the official wiki: Same numbers in this case: fluffy tailed hog 20 HP, Basher 9 damage.

IMO:
Fandom wiki has a much cleaner and userfriendly look; First the background is black instead of grey: more contrast, now important difference: articles and search results are in the center and not beginning far left and spread over the whole screen. Just by normally using my two default standard ad-blocker I never saw a advertisment on fandom.

Summary: Fandom is just in every single way better, for me. One might say the individual differences are not that big, but they all sum up and deliver a much better user experience.

fandom isn't being updated as wiki.gg is the new official site, because of issues with fandom... I don't remember exactly what happened, but v1.0 info probably won't be added to it.

There's a pattern of behaviour where content that gets added to the fandom wiki is either:

• wrong
  
• complete and utter fan-fic nonsense
  
• lifted from the official wiki without credit, which is a Creative Commons license violation.
  
  Such changes are generally rolled back by one person or another, but it is generally to be considered abandoned.
