How to string together multiple Assemblers?
I came over from Dyson Sphere Project where buildings have multiple points for input and output, and also inputs and outputs can be done from up to three tiles away by using sorters. Of course Satisfactory doesn't work that way, so I'm trying to wrap my head around how to set up two or three Assemblers without taking up a stupid amount of space and doing some ridiculous gymnastics with conveyor belts since each Assembler needs two inputs at specific points and the belts have to feed into the Assembler instead of being fed in like in DSP.
I feel like I'm missing something, or I've played so much DSP that my brain is having a hard time finding the solution in this game.

This is one method

Two lines of Splitters with the top line connected with lifts

Wait for the four input Manufacturer, or a Blender that needs liquids and solids, heh heh

I'll expand on Fenixs post and show one of my setups with the constructor feed lines to the assemblers.

Factory lines in Satisfactory take up space, no way around it. You can build up in buildings as in floors, or build in a flat layout.

Several ways about it, either as shown above or:

Make a logistics floor beneath your factory:

Or have your splitters slightly above your assemblers, saving a lot of space:

Thanks everyone, these all really help get my brain out of DSP mode and more into what I need to do in THIS game to make things work. It's definitely different from slapping down a dozen assemblers with three rows of belts and sorters and calling it a day.

Could you post a printscreen how it looks in DSP, please?
People recommended DSP and a printscreen would help me to understand what I'd be facing.

Thank you.

I just have one screenshot at the moment, and it's of my end game mega base. DSP is amazing. If you like Satisfactory I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't enjoy DSP.

I don't see how you connect your assemblers. It's too far away and quite dark. Would be cool if you could make another screenshot next time you play.

3 year old vid, but still a good explanation in an 8 min video.

There isn't much vertical building. It is more horizontal.

Here is another.

Thank you very much, Nash Equil

Actually that looks a lot more inviting-appealing than I thought

Who told you Satis doesnt have sorting of resources? Connections to inputs and outputs of machines can be done with separate belts/pipes like the former answers already displayed. This is probably the easiest method and straight forward.

Otherwise you can use Smart Splitters (for solid resources only) to create so called "Sushi belts". There are some restrictions for these belts but if you do this setup correctly, Sushi belts can transport different resources with just one conveyor belt quite effectively.

What I meant by that was, in DSP you can run a belt close to a factory, and you can use what they call a "sorter" to pull the material into the assembler. It's basically just a long arm that attaches to the assembler that reaches out, grabs material from the belt, and feeds it to the assembler. It allows for a lot more flexibility when building your production line because you don't have to worry about one belt restricting the path of another belt.

Like an inserter from factorio and Techtonica then

I'll go and search some printscreens to have a closer look

I like to put all my belts underneath on a logistics floor.

I like to bury all my electric inside foundation pieces.

Me too. Looks way better than spiderwebs. It was a bit a PITA but I also managed to hide them for most parts inside glasroof-foundations or under belts. I just like the clean look.

In this regard Techtonica and Foundry are ahead with their power-floors.

Yeah..... about Foundry and Power cables.....

they are still there, and they can be a pain, because unlike Satisfactory they don't clip.....
