How to create/mod a world that has zero plants, trees or any nature growing stuff.
So far I used bombs to removed a huge amounts of trees but I would like to mod or edit save file to speed up. Any way?

If you remove lots of trees and plants then your save will grow huge resulting in very long save times. And some trees are not removable at all.

Please don't jump all over me. I'm not trying to say you're wrong. I have no idea how they are doing things. However, it almost sounds counter-intuitive. Why would removing items from the map, increase its size?

Update: Nevermind. Found the answer on Reddit.

Not a programming expert, but my understanding is that all plants are in the world by default, and every time you remove one the save file has to make a note of it.

Yup. Something like that. I'm not a programmer either, but that's kind of how it works.

And I would like to find it in the save file and modify it. Nature is in my way and factories need to grow. Also, I love spacious, open spaces.

You can't. You simply can't. The trees don't exist anywhere in a save. Only when you remove a tree, a "record" of the removed three is added to the save. So, you can do the opposite: you can remove the records of removed trees from a save to have all the trees regrow, but you can't remove existing trees from a save. No mods exist for this as far as I know. Besides, your save times will seriously become ridiculously long. You *will* care.

I removed once about one biome's worth of trees, with nukes, for the sake of experiment, and my save grew over 10MB and save times were over 10 seconds. This is pretty annoying.

If "nature gets in the way" you simply need to build high up, this is your only option to avoid trees, to build above them. Also, such flat platforms make building much easier than dealing with the uneven terrain.

That is apparently not true anymore

That would be nice. Is it already changed or it's an upcoming 1.0 change? Also, Snutt didn't sound very convincing :)

Go gardening, then you will immedialtely see if your savefile grew. I guess it's now still the same.

About video: He was all the time laughing about the own things he said. Irritating. Either he finds himself very funny or it's a kind of 'negative psychology': He knew he has bad News and sold it as funny ones.

UPDATE:

I just tested that:
Saved it before dishing out 15 Nobelisks: 1313 KB
Saved it after distributing all 15 Nobelisks, right before hitting the trigger: 1317 KB
Saved it right after the 15 explosions: 1332 KB

15 Nobelisks??? I went a bit further than that :) Dropped 2000 Nukes, wiped two or three biomes entirely. Save file went up from around 4MB to around 8MB in under an hour. Though I have not noticed significant increase in save time.

My brain is numb now, but it was for science :)

Per Reddit: They make a note of what was removed, so that if a change is made to the map. They know what to remove so that the items are not replaced.

Mad Scientiest! XD And all in the name of science :ccveryhappy:

I did my test for the Holy Catholic Church (15 Nobelisks had to suffice)
