Random alternates -> MAM tech tree
Are we going to see the rest of the random alternate recipies added to real tech tree nodes [with HDD-included cost like the ones already put there]?

All these suggestions kill the point of exploring the map to find disks.

The current systems actually kill the mood of long time players to explore the map and actively search for special ressources. I talked to multiple people who, like me, restarted multiple times. Nobody wants to invest hours of lifetime again and again to run around the world and to collect stuff, just to loose these invested hours in a unnecessary time wasting gamble where you not get what you need for improvement.

Another but comparable issue are the power slugs. You need them for power shards but you have to invest a lot of time to collect them. Furthermore their number is quite limited in the end.
Therefore the most people use power shards only to overclock first level machines like miners, extractors or pumps. Second and third level machines will not be overclocked at all because the number of required power shards becomes to high quite quickly.
Instead it is currently recommended to just build a higher number of machines to compensate the demand of your production and not to overclock second and third level machines at all.
So they implemented an overclock system which requires searching for special limited ressources, but because of that players rather avoid to use overclock for the most machines.

Satisfactory is primarely a game about planning automation, managing resource and creating complex production lines. It's not about exploration nor about gambling. Exploration is only secondary content of the game and gambling is completely out of the content.

Just ask yourselves, how useful are in game mechanics that players only used reluctantly or not at all? Especially those mechanics that players find so annoying and troublesome that they rather actively look for ways to bypass them!

In the end the dev's can let the systems stay as annoying as they are. But then the usage of third party software or save game editors to bypass these mechanics will always be a thing in satisfactory. Or, for the hard drives specifically, players will just use save and reload to get the recipes they need.
It's funny to hear such things from an experienced player. You know there is also underclocking. I hope you know what it is and how the players defended it. Therefore, the game offers you variety; if you don’t want to look for alternative recipes, use the usual ones, you can complete the game with them.

There's disk cost in the MAM tech tree already, and that could continue. If you see something you want to unlock, you might need to go find 4 new disks to get there. That part is fine, it sets a goal, you get to go explore and get a change of scenery and find some new stuff - I'm actually pro keeping the disks in the game. It's just the gambling bit that's frustrating and sucks the fun and feeling of progression out of it. Finding a new disk now just means you'll get back to base and be annoyed.

Then they'll have to add new crash sites. U need more disks. These recipes were added to mam after requests from players. But the players will never be satisfied.

Apparently you are one of those people who will never accept any opinion other than their own.

It's a fact that a lot of people dont enjoy unnecessary game mechanics that add no further value than wasting time. And it's a fact that Satisfactory currently has such mechanics. Only the dev's decide if this will be changed or not.
In the end I don't care if they change it or not. There are already several existing solutions to bypass these mechanics. So I don't need to bother myself with it.

The frustrating bit is when you see little glimmers of unrealized possibility in those mechanics squandered for no discernible purpose or benefit. Most of Satisfactory's structural problems stem from inadequate adaptation of common gameplay tropes. There's a gun, but shooting animals doesn't accomplish your objective. There's exploration, but the map never changes. There's decoration, but you don't really inhabit any areas you can decorate, and those areas you sort of inhabit aren't customizable (the HUB).

But, who knows? Maybe early access will conclude with the game being tuned for boundless discovery, creativity, and invention. Maybe it'll just give us the last bit of a puzzle that anyone who could've possibly cared about solved 99% of years ago. Maybe they'll add world bosses that need to be killed to unlock each new tier of milestones. Please don't add world bosses that need to be killed to unlock each new tier of milestones.

The only fact is that you can't read. I wrote that I was bored collecting hard drives because I had already done it 5 times. Otherwise I just open them via scim or mod.

The rest is subjective opinion and not facts. Do you have statistics or a player survey? You decided it was a waste of time. But this is an alternative that you don't have to open.

Yeah just insult people or belittle their statements. This is how people like you invalidate the opinion of others.

Every opinion is just subjective!

For what reason I should need them? I could also ask where your statistics or player surveys are that substantiate that the majority of players like the current mechanics?
This whole post is about the topic that current mechanics are not enjoyable for everyone. People share their opinion about that and maybe ideas to solve it. You are the one that tries to defend this the whole time.
Nobody forces the dev's to do anything of this. This is rather a brainstorming than a petition.

Yes I decided for myself that it is a waste of time. Like many other people. And I decided for myself to discuss this with other.

I can understand your opinion about all of this too. But for myself it has no further value to discuss this with you. We have different opinions about this.
As I said there are already several existing solutions to bypass these mechanics. So I don't need to bother myself with it at all.
And that ends this discussion from my side. You can try continue to discuss with me, but then you will be talking just to yourself.

Dude this won't work with me. I'll write to you again, it's boring to look for disks in the next playthroughs. Look dude, I almost agree with you. In update 5 I suggested putting them in mma, where have you been?

You wrote "It's a fact that a lot of people dont enjoy" "Like many other people" so provide evidence of this fact. How many? LOL.

Why do you want to bypass the mechanics? Why not just start with all the tiers open? These are also mechanics and they take time. Oh, this is already in the additional settings. Why don't you want to accept my opinion? Let's discuss why you don't want to accept my arguments.
