i mean, yeah, people always say "don't comprare orange whith apples", but i think that because they are so different, the comparation is more important, just not on details but on overall feeling
whith also what i said above, to address op:
first of all, i'm wandering around this forum to see what's going on, while waiting for some end-game stuff to be made by my ME system on GTNH, so understand that i'm going to be biased since i can't really enjoy any other game since when i got into gtnh.
i also want to take factorio into account since we are comparing really different games when checking the details but all being sandboxes often compared.
the main different thing i see in the "ffeling of these 3 games are:
-modded minecraft:
you have A LOT of stuff to do manualy when copared to the other 2 games. really a HUGE TONS. yeah, you will be "smeelting" by hand your first iron ores and making some iron plates by "hand" on satisfactory, but it won't go on for too long, and it's pretty chill to do (just do 2 click and then keep a button pressed", while in minecraft you will always, from the biginning to the end, moving items around by hand, no matter how much yo uautomate, you are still using the ME crafting terminals. on factorio, the crafting is even "invisible", you click what you want to craft and the game does the whole sub-crafting tree, and pretty fast you start having drones stocking your inventory whith everything. so, isay that modded minecraft is more about experiencing in first person the items/machine you are using/working whith, even whith heavyly automated packs
-satisfactory:
i didn't goo too far tbh, i'm waiting for the final release to complete it, but from what i've seen, it's more about aestetics and relaxed crafting. resources are basicaly infinite, once you palce a mining machines, this will last forever and keep producign stuff forever, so, 0 maintenace required, this is also true for all minecraft packs, but only in supre-late game usualy, it's compeltly different.
that makes resources less critical, so you can just relax and build, whith no worries.
-factorio:
i'd say you can play this in different fashons, but i'ts mostly about mass producing and scaling up, it is also theo nly one of the three games where combact is fun and relevant.
also, everything depends a LOT on how you want to play these games, and how you tweak the settings and what mods you use (well, i didn't touch any satisfactory mod/settings actualy).
TL;dr:
-modded minecraft: resource managing
-satisfactory: relax while building cool stuff that does stuff
-factorio: make things go big
You appear to be desperate for a game that includes the ability to terraform and you have only mentioned 'modded' Minecraft as a comparison to Satisfactory.
Allow me to be clear, this game is all about manufacturing parts for an ongoing construction project in space above this alien world.
There is no terraforming or any manipulation of land or sea.
There is a huge map to explore, resources to be discovered and fauna to be 'dealt' with.
The game neither looks nor plays like Minecraft, mods or not.
By all means watch some of the many Youtube playthroughs to get a better idea.
I wish you success in your search for whatever it is you are looking for ;)
lol (sry for the lol but if some people read that they probably get triggered) but the game is known for updating very slow and you dont have to rebuild anything when a update hits.
you can build how much you want going upwards, there are many blocks for building cool stuff

I mean imagine you build a factory and your boss buys new machine, ofc it will need lots of organization to fit it in your current set up.
Sure people who build to few generators had some problems but they simply had to build more power plants now. (If you build correctly the new power system was never a problem to begin with)
I mean thats something you dont have in modded minecraft right? Electricity and power managment? ;)
Also its early access expect changes.
