Remote Inventory
I'm really wanting for a new storage container that let's me access it from anywhere. It's tiresome travelling all over the map just to get new building supplies.

wouldnt that be what logistics is for?

you could "cheat" and use the SCIM to up your inventory slots.

Not so keen on the idea of a "magic box" that can just teleport items to your location (sorta steps out of what the game is all about, ie, if FICSIT had that tech, why need conveyor belts, space elevator etc), however something leveraging the already existing drone mechanic might be interesting.

From the few Let's Play vids have watched, a common approach looks to be creating a player's central storage base, with a container load of every time item. That way, only have to return to the one place to access a smorgasbord of whatever needed.

EDIT: Typo (or was it the auto-correct? hmmm)

Make hyper tube cannons.

I use a single train running on a timer to haul in freight from various factories I have. It then goes into a massive storage facility that is all sorted and has overflow that will go into a sink if I'm making too much of stuff. All of my major productions for items I need are basically in this one area so that myself and friends can grab whatever we need and head right back out. If either of us run out, we usually have a smaller train on a bypass rail (to not interfere with the main freight train) to quickly go back, resupply, and come back. Or grab from a train storage if what we need is right there.

You have to play Fallout 76 for that box. But it is limited by weight in that game.
Got Drones? Just have drone ports at each product, and your drone at home base. Then just send it to get what you want at the time. Zip-line Power towers let you cruise along slowly so you could see the sights on the way.

After building my starter productions by home base, I build larger remote factories with a rail network. Every such factory (and home base) has a dedicated station and track segment where I can park my "works train" - a two locomotive, nine wagon train I use to transport materials to a project site.

What I will also often do is set up small temporary production lines at a new build site for iron plates/rods, wire, cable, copper sheet, concrete, and steel beams - the things I use loads of when building large factories. These do not take as long to set up as they used to, thanks to blueprints.

Though I usually forget some things and will have to make a few trips back to home base 😁

Although I like the idea, you could just do what I do and pack a big truck full of stuff you need and drive it around, there is paths everywhere to get everywhere so no place you can't go with the truck

There are several transporter / teleportation mods out there, use them. That´s what I do as well. I have outposts all over the map. very useful in my eyes. I am using them for teleporting myself not items. That would be cheesy in my eyes.

I would like to have a control room where I can install displays that receive their information by radio. It should be possible to attach the corresponding transmitters to containers and all kinds of production machines.

I totally agree, its just tedious.

If you upload your savegame to SCIM you can add yourself as pocket slots as you want. This solves the problem without the need of installing a mod.

And don't listen to the nay-sayers. There are always some defensive people in forums. More pocket slots or your idea of a remote inventory is in now way a substitution for logistics but much more convinient and therefore a very good idea.

I don't know what the SCIM acronym means. Please clarify. I use a Mod for this.

Wrong, if it was a good idea, the game would already have it.

Just a thought... building train. Or barring that... a building truck filled with important supplies. Maybe even have a stop that auto-fills it. I have not done it yet (in satisfactory, I have in other games), but I assume the logistics system allows it.
