Highest power consumption & best nuclear plant spots
First time I reached 100 MW consumption, seems like the time has come for a second nuclear power plant.

Tell me,
- what has been your highest consumption yet?
- Where are your favourite locations? (I have built my first in the very North-West)

100 MW would be absolutely tiny given that a crafter already consumes 4MW :P

That's, 100'000 MW (100GW)

I have only built one nuclear plant, it was on the water at the north west corner of the map

Holy Cow...How long did that take? LOL. Nice build. :cozybethesda:

Just over 100,000 MW with max about 130,000 MW. Stuff on standby. Production over 200 with 30 nukes at 3 locations. Around this point, you begin running low on resources like aluminum and nitrogen for advanced production. Comfortable that will carry me into 1.0.

Locations for nukes? #1 Swamp, #2 where everybody starting in the south does coal gens in that lake pit. #3 The lake between the rocky desert and the Northern forest - just because I had supporting production nearby.

My favorite location for nuclear is the swamp -- most of the needed materials are nearby. Also, although it seems dreary at first, especially with all the threats (especially those giant spiders), once I killed them off, the visuals of the geography grew on me to where I ended up liking it a lot.

Wow, what a nice factory you made! I don't know how I feel right now (♥♥♥♥♥) but my main non-cosmetic facility is by the lake @ 500,1000. Don't cringe too hard...

i have a mix of diluted fuel power and 40 nuke generators(not slugged) and current power is around the 150k m/w and running at around 55k constantly, i have 2 sites the biggest be'in split over 2 levels at the lakes near red forest and n/coast lake...

I built in the grasslands and farmed uranium from the cave next to the black hole abyss there. there is ample supply of other resources close by and water not too far. I've only reached about 35k MW at my greatest achievement. That was around Update 5 I think. I've started a new session for U8 and plan to use the same area for the nuclear production again this time. Also the big bottomless pit there can be exploited to dispose of the radiated waste by forming a route of transfer as far down as possible and positioning a multitude of large containers there.

Depending on how you go about this you can make a fully automated setup with no waste. Unless you want more power from the plutonium fuel rods.

Highest consumption is 125GW cheers!

Thanks for the flowers.
Impressive - 48 working plants is far away from what my save is currently capable of!
Lets see what future brings =)

In this area (the South East) I’ve placed my one and only one Turbo plant with some motor production besides:

Sometimes I need more time to decide where and how to build things compared to building itself, also depending on the complexity of the product.
Independently from how many time I spent, it will always result in “bunker shapes” as
- I’m not that creative.
- I need always lots of space to store (and store and store and store) :D

Other views of the same Uran Power plant (complex):

Hf, definitely on another level than me. I just don't want to take that effort to make my factories so tight and crisp as yours. I guess I'm satisfactory (hah!) with open construction and poor, floating, wall free stinky factories. Super impressive!
