Offline Singleplayer Mode?
Still hoping for an offline single player. Its my favorite video game when internet is scarce. But I hate having to spawn a new person every time I start the game. >_<'

Try booting steam in offline mode... maybe you can play the same character every time then.

I've only ever been able to play in "Offline" mode.
The Server Manager entry in the menu has a Exclamation Point inside a red triangle in front of it, and when I started my game today, it told me I was playing Offline and as Singleplayer and that none of my Friends could join me.

Not sure WHY, but that's how my game has always been
I leave steam Online.

Really? Huh, will need to try that next time I dont have internet. ^^'

You need to be online only when downloading the game (for obvious reason) and as a steam requirement you need to be online at first time you run it (you can even quit as soon as it loads first time)

After that, no need to be online for satisfactory or steam

i only play offline so standard mode is offline i guess

Huh, I started online, went offline and continued, several times. Maybe it was updated or I just needed to start it online all along. Thanks everyone. ^_^

No. This will never happen. You have to be online with steam or your character's saves can't be loaded next time. Make sure you are on the internet and have a working internet connection before you start the game every time.

There will never be an offline mode for this game. The developers told us that in the past.
Technically yes, but Also no..
So I just remember this....
There is their a -NoMultiplayer command line modifier, if you make a shortcut to the EXE and add that to the end of the target... and then you are basically offline forever.

actually might want to add -NoSteamClient -EpicPortal too just to be sure.
Looks like this.
Installpath\FactoryGame.exe -NoMultiplayer -NoSteamClient -EpicPortal

Incorrect, you save are local have always been local, the only being online does (for saves at least) is uploads them to the cloud for backup and if you what to play on a different computer. Offline would just mean you'd have to backup and copy the files to a different machine.

I'm going to test, get back to you in a bit. I'm going to install it on my old laptop again, and then disconnect the laptop from the network just to see what happens

You are wrong my save loaded just fine offline, saved reloaded, and then loaded a differnt save as myself.
I did have to make a shortcut with -NoSteamClient -EpicPortal to get it to work (steam will launch if you don't)

Did you put steam in offline mode?

I'm guessing YES. It sounds like they completely shut it down and used the command line argument to prevent steam from launching and starting up.

No I exited steam completely, it isn't running at all, just used it to download the game.
I Just ran the exe via that shortcut, with the Laptop disconnected from the network.

If the devs didn't what you doing this they wouldn't have added the command line arguments, I didn't modify the game is anyway, just created a shortcut, using said arguments
