Hypertube cannon broken in update 8?

So I used a few hypertube cannons (where you go in a circle about 10 times and it then spits you out at 10-20X the normal speed).

But I just loaded into update 8 (no advanced options) and when I try to use my hypertube cannon, it just keeps me trapped in the cannon going in circles forever and no matter what I do it never shoots me out of is so I have to reload, or "respawn".

So hypertube cannons are no more?

Are you hitting the directional button so you go into the other tube?

Try rebuilding the Cannon, it's possible that the update just kind of "Glitched" the cannon

This is the design you have to use now.
You have to tap left, once on 1st exit then you should be able to hold left to stay in the tube. Tap right to launch

Nice Trick! I just built "normal" ones all over the place, but this seems too be the more elegant solution.

Personally I prefer linear cannons, since I can precisely calibrate the speed to get where I want to go. Those have been mostly unaffected by update 8.
