Level 5 completed, except gas mask milestone impossible

I completed levels 5 and 6 except the gas mask milestone which I can't do because I can't make fabric!
How to do ?

Unlock the fabric recipe in the mycelia research chain in the MAM.

pick up some mushrooms and try the chainsaw on the big mushrooms.

There is also an alternate recipe you can get from crash site gard drives that let's you automate fabric from oil

You get the polyester fabric from the MAM research tree, not a hdd

The easiest way is to run to the swamp and grab some Mycilia balls. Heck I've got to where that's one of the places I head to when I first start. No chainsaw needed. Getting parachutes right off the bat is so useful.

Prepare for the big spiders and a lot of poison towers. It's the hardest biome on the map.

The Swamp is child's play compared to the Red Forest :)
The rebar gun with standard ammo has more range than a brown stinger, so try to keep an open field of view. Most gas fields can be ran through with blade runners. Be smart, patient and don't run in blind.

You are right: The biggest difficulties I had in the red forest at the nuclear site. This green psycho spider killed me over and over again. My trick was to empty hand slots except weapon and inhaler. Then I got it.

but be aware: In the swamp is also a green one in addition to two some brown ones. It happened that sudenly the one big green and two big brown were chasing me.

My 2 cents. Worst zone is the Blue Crater because at night, Stingers spawn in mass! Its also the largest location of shroom fabric you can find as literally parts of that craters map are giant shroom tips that look like land that you can accidently cutdown (and get silly levels of shroom fabric to boot but still)

If your brave enough, I'd say either the Blue Crater or the Swamp is your best place to get some shroom materials. Those or if your in the plains, that cave under the starting zone has tons to!

Do you have a printscreen of such an example? Would like to have more Mycelia avaiable because that's adding value to my Pale Berry Paradises. I used many Beacon Agaric for Nutriional Inhalers but with more Mycelia I can use them in the more efficient inhalers. Thank you

I'll need to sort through what I have, but I recall about 6, maybe 7 near that cave outcropping in the crater, maybe it was a result of the cave and night at the same time so I could of just been unlucky xD

My mistake. You're right, it is now. It changed from HDD to MAM in Update 6.
