Trying to place a splitter on an existing belt but placing it on the ground.
Placing the wrong splitter and connecting belts, only to replace the splitter and not the belts.
A 3rd less common cause would be using the smart mod to connect belts automatically, that never works for me and results in unconnected belts.
My money is on replacing your input belt.
Still this caused me to fly back and forth in the factory for hours. (It has about 50 programmable and 20 smart splitters)
Try changing each output to any, then none, then back to any.
Are you playing on Experimental (Update 8) or Early Access (Update 7)?
If rebuilding conveyor belts does not help, what about rebuilding splitter and belts again? Sometimes there can be something stuck inside the splitter/merger, like a conveyor pole that doesn't belong there, but you don't see it from outside.
EA U7
In most cases I even rebuilt the splitter too. But I will try adjusting the settings twice.
I've built it in a tower, do you have a printscreen? Would be interesting to see.

It's just a quick glance though. It is about the LEAST amount of factories to get a heavy modular frame manufacturer to 100 % efficiency without using dozens of shards (this one uses about 6 shards but just because I got impatient. Could have used none.
It's insane.
Of course this is my first design. If I built it again I would use four insteadf of 2 constructors at the bottom and two assemblers at each level.
I have problems to stack splitters (when horizontal space is insufficient) and to connect the uper one with the bottom one. So far the only the solution somebody told me is to build a stack of 3 and delete the one in between. But that is not optimal.
As for the splitter/merger stack I usually do the same. Another way would be building walls and then creating a floor of foundations for each new layer. I don't know how it would work out since Satisfactory currently has a really bad vertical management. Some things are far too high in their standard range (like elevators, I bet it would peek out above a normal wall).
I would love an update where you'd have clear "height" guidelines where the game snaps to so you don't have to do trial and error with the elevators.l
And this flying gear is really cool. I am looking forward to it.
Yesterday I had a rough moment with disappointment when I finally made turbo fuel - which I was very much anticipiating - and then my jetpack was refusing it! There is really no reason to do that. It is like restricting map markers to 250. ***argh***
I spend one hour rerouting my Alumina production to make those advanced frames just to notice that it is Nitrogen Gas that's required. I relyed on the symbol that just looks exactly the same. I rage reverted to on old save. :D
Is there a feedback survey or anything for the game? Probably just at the Discord right?
