Missing Sulfur Mine on top of the hill amid the poison towers, @ coordinates 1266 , -467

I litterally searched for hours but I can find this sulfur mine. On the top of the hill is definely no sulfur mine (but a lot of poison towers) and the distance counter showed me 0 - 1 meter so it can NOT be underground if the distance counter is correct (though I searched on every flank of the hill for a cave, but there are no caves leading to a sulfur mine.

Can somebody confirm that this mine really doesn't exist? Or if it does where the heck it is hiding? Would be super nice!

Naturally I wouldn't mind to go to the sulfur mine far south and build a long belt to my 4 coal mines in the valley - but as I am aware in the savegame-discussions: building a long belt is a really bad idea an blows up the savegame file and therefor freezing and loading times.

I'm not familiar with this node specifically but I do know that there are several invisible nodes dotted around the map. You could try building a miner in the general vicinity and see if the hologram turns blue somewhere.

If you scan for sulfur, do you see the ping marker on the ground? Did you try placing a miner on it? I've spotted one iron deposit in the rocky desert where the graphics were missing, though that could have been U8 breakage.

I know that node. It took 95% of my health the first few times I tried to exploit it :)

Weird suggestion: Maybe it's fixed upon loading your last save?

Man, that is a hostile area, I died right before getting at the poison. But did discover a lot of nice things along the way. Sadly, I had to reload to not lose all the goods I carried. It was 'only' 1km from where I got my factory. Good to know where to find a sulfur node.

There are also some nodes in caves so from above they cannot be seen until you find the lower path into where they are located.

This is true. But then then the ping will show you the distance when you are right over it. And .... dont drive with the Explorer in that cave with the two pure Quartz nodes and one SAM node. As soon you turn your back on the Explorer it gets warped to the surface and you search quite a time till you find it on the top of a rock tower.

Quartz, copper, bauxite and 2 areas of oil aren't far either. And another sulphur too. Nitrogen is a bit further. Lot's of critters though. BTW, look up into the titan trees.
I call that spot "The Grotto" and do 12/min turbo motors there.

I have found Nitrogen and Bauxite but not in this part of the world, I would have to cross the Central Mountains or use the passages under the mountains.

But there is the Nord-East corner - Red Dessert presumably - which I did not visit to leave myself one undiscovered corner of the world yet to explore (I find that always exciting and I wish they would add in future some new parts to the world [like they do in add-ons to The Elden Scrolls or Warcraft, etc.])!
