LAPTOP for Satisfactory (pls help)

I know its stupid but i will buy Laptop specially just to play this game.
Can anyone help me out?
i know graphic cards are not the same in PC and Laptops so how do i know what graphic i need in laptop to run this game?
i run this game on old PC and i don't update this game because it will stop working.
(yes it was tested) i keep this game on old "UPDATE 7"
so i want to buy laptop that will let me play this game on MAX specs.

You want a RTX 40 series card then, Like a RTX 4050 TI with at least 8gb of VRAM
With a 12th or 13th Gen Intel Processor i5 or i7 or Ryzen equivalent

I was using a 3050 ti, on a laptop, but it was getting too much for my system, while keeping the fidelity high.
I just look for some reason the 3080 laptops are more expensive than the 4050 ones
$800-1100 vs $1900 for a 3080 ti…

Amazon has a MSI Cyborg 15.6” 144hz 12th gen i5 with a 4050 with 6gb vram, and 16gb ddr5 512gb ssd for $869

just out of curiosity just how old is old? Interested to hear what kind of potato manages to run the update 7 version of the game so at least cpu,ram and gpu would be nice to know.

You don't need the 40 series to play on max, 30 will also do it (even older for that matter), but you do need to pair it with a reasonable fast CPU (higher clock speed is better than too many cores here).

There's little difference between 3060 and the more expensive 4050 (at least what I find).

Yes, anything high/max on the graphics needs a dedicated GPU, and laptops with these are insanely expensive. Completely wasteful. My advice is to just save the money and stick with a stationary PC for these kinds of games. You can even run the game on a fast Ryzen 5 with just the iGPU but don't expect going max on the graphics.

I have an MSI laptop which runs the game on high with U8 and lumen on full with no issues. It has a 3080 with 8GB ram (32GB system RAM)

only caveat is no dlss 3 frame gen. You would want a 4070 laptop to beat a 3080 laptop and have frame gen too.

If 40 series is too costly (they actually are) i suggest to buy PC instead of laptop because you get more performance significantly cheaper.
I'm playing on 3070 on ultras, at 100 fps, and my gpu never heats more than 70°C.
Used 30 series gpu would be a good option for gaming i think.

A general guidline for gpu's and laptop gpu is like this.
1080 almost equal to 2070 almost equal to 3060 and so on
for laptop versions its often like:
4090 laptop almost equal to 3090 desktop
3080 laptop almost equal to 2080 desktop and so on.
Sure it's just a general guidline but it fits often pretty good.
So if you know satisfactory needs a 3060 destkop gpu you need a 4060 laptop gpu to get comparable performance.

But if you actually want to play a current game like satisfactory at max on a laptop, not just on day one but also with increased factorysize it won't be cheap.
Probably medium/high is the setting you should priorize, or simply a tower.
A gaming laptop is always .... difficult to balance power/price.

I play on a desktop with a 1060 3G VRAM a 1 TB SSD swap partition and Kubutu 22.04 (LINUX). and 16 G RAM. It is a potato but I can run U8 with many low graphics options. Doesn't look great but it runs. I am working in tier 6 and it still works well enough to play. I don't recommend playing on such a potato. I am building a new rig with a 2070 super with 8G VRAM. That is desktop so for a lap top you probably need a bit better.

Have a question.. Why do you want it on laptop? Does it have to be on laptop? Would be cheaper to buy a PC for game then laptop.

i play this game on Acer Aspire 7 laptop, 2 years old with a intel core i7 8750 cpu, 16gb ddr4 ram, Gforce GTX 1050 TI grafic card with 4gb ddr5 vram.
the game runs fine with good quality (i reduce some effect because the laptop works to warm and shut down after hours of playing).
