Is there any disadvantage of playing Update 8?
Have savegames been growing when changing to Update 8 or anything else?
I havent noticed many glaring issues since i started playing in U8 and i am using my 1st playthrough save, U7. Only real issue i have noticed is FPS drop overtime even without having built anything or destroyed flora and i have a decent rig. Not really concerned about the slight FPS drops as that type of thing happens in many other games also.
There will likely be another map reset that will respawn creatures and plants.
A game saved in Update 8 cannot be loaded in Update 7. You would have to revert to an older savegame (make sure you keep backups, and don't rely on autosave)
Minimum computer spec has increased.
Not all mods work in Update 8, and more may break when the UE5.2 update lands.
The UE5.2 Update will also likely introduce more bugs and instability

I mean, this creature did not fall apart when it was running around me. It was meant to terrify me doing this trick
I will soon go to trains or trucks - it's the logical next step at end of tier six.
If the color thing is just a visual thing I don't mind as long the trains behave correctly.
In Satisfactory Mod Manager there seem to be a total of 756 mods of those 486 are U8 UE 5.1 compatible. CSS is working on implementing UE 5.2 which will break mods again until updated. Unless I am wrong the total number of mods of 756 would also include mods long abandoned.
