Creature Respawn
Ever since before the latest patch creature respawn was pretty simple. Kill the creatures in that area and throw down a foundation or something and they wouldnt spawn there anymore. Since the last patch came out though that doesn't seem to be the case. I kill the group in that area and throw down a foundation, come back in a while or especially a load of a save game and they are all back.

Ive tried killing them all again and throwing down more foundations. Tried different things like power poles. None of it seems to work unless its a full on mini factory that I build there.

Anyone know a way that will keep creatures from coming back? Things are easy enough to kill but its just tedious clearing out the same areas over and over again. That and this game wasnt supposed to revolve around combat anyways. Also, I dont want to go fully passive mode as I like having to fight my way into new areas. I just want it the way it was before this patch.

Unpowered buildings won't prevent respawns. Build a power line.

And note that updates with significant creature or world changes may require a one-off reset of killed creatures, so they will respawn when your save is first loaded in the new version. That happened with update 7, and will likely happen with update 8 too

It must be a very small radius. I have 2 power poles with power right next to one spawn location. They are maybe 10-15 foundation tiles apart. Creatures still spawn in that area.

1 foundation used to cover respawn area that size easily before.

That I knew and have no problem with. Its when Im killing the same mobs 5-10 times in 2 days that it becomes very annoying.

The only thing that prevents spawns is a powered machine. un powered machines have no affect nor does any infrastructure items like rails or foundations nor does unpowered storage. Once you have a powered machine of some sort the radius is pretty decent but any fausna there before hand will remain until killed.

I just spent a couple days testing out every possible building I could think of and only powered buildings like miners, constructors and similar. Things that take power and can be configured with power shards for the most part. There maybe exceptions but having a` slot for power shards seems to be the one common thing I found in buildings that blacked spawns.

If that is true then wow do i not like this change. If I kill creatures in a spawn area I have to put up an entire smelter (smallest machine I can think of) to keep them from respawning?

Some areas have tons of spawn locations. Instead of just a foundation I have to put up a machine? Total kill of immersion.

Devs please put it back to the old way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
