Level conveyor belts across terrain
What is the best way to get level conveyor belts when you run one across terrain in the hills where it constantly changes height

Build floor tiles and then build the conveyor belt on the nice level floor?

let me clarify, I'm building a very long raised belt it stretches across multiple hills, I would really like it to all be at the same level but could find no easy way to ensure all the poles are at the same height without a lot of trial and error of placing one running back to see how it looks then deleting and retrying. Just curious if there is an easier way to try this.

I would just zoop a giant platform in the direction the belts are going and put it on the platform. If you're early on in the game you can just make it pretty later. If you don't want to make it pretty, and just want a belt, you could just delete the conveyor poles and then also the foundations.

On terrain there is no way to make them level, you need to place foundations down then you can get them level.

Great idea, thanks.

This.
And for the same height everywhere you might need world grid and 2m/4m foundations.

Zoop a flying foundation, build belt on top, add pillars from top down, delete foundations, make the pillar to ground connections. If you use coloured steel beams as pillars you can set a base plate bit above the ground and put a big concrete pillar underneath as free foundation to avoid real foundations out in nowhere.

Thanks yeah I ended up doing something similar but had not yet unlocked beams so just used a floor blocks all the way up. Yours looks better with the beams for sure.
