That being said, there are also several community-created configuration files available through the Steam Controller Configuration interface. Try DrN's 360-style, or search for Satisfactory PS4 if that suits you better.
Id like this to mean that I can just plug in my controller and away I go to enjoy the game without having to configure stuff myself
I know this is a bummer for a lot of people but we've really implemented the game with keyboard & mouse in mind first. But we'll see what happens in the future but for now this is how it is.
Copy and paste the link to your browser. Open it up and apply the config.
steam://controllerconfig/526870/2809467595
For keybindings, swap interact (E) and crouch buttons (C).
Most controls are obvious, but a few mode shifts and holds are thrown in.
Mode shift dpad with X button.
Double tap X button for flashlight
X button to split item (right click)
Left trigger to select all stacks of type
Holds on bumpers activate radial menus
B button for reload
Select will mode shift face buttons
Select button to toggle Ctrl when in build mode
Select + B button for drive action layer
Select to open keyboard for assigning clock speeds
Unfortunately, bought this at launch on EGS, and have been waiting for Controller support to dig in further after playing a hundred hour or so with kb/m. Which means I can't use the steam controller config. Unless you know a way I could launch the EGS version with steam and still use that config. Nice job though.
Find Satisfactory in your Steam library, right click on it and go to properties.
Rename it 526870
After you do that, try to apply the configuration.
If you are not now going to implement this then you should immediately remove the text about implementing controller support from the Storepage as a lot of people will are being mislead by this.
A destiny like interface would be the best for controllers imo. FPS controls when no menus are open, when you open a menu then you control a circle which acts as a mouse pointer with the RS.
Update 6 appears to be small update.
What is actually left in development, just more map expansion, exploration and additional resources to exploit?
It feels like Subnautica-on-Land
Not controller supported
A bummer? thats an all time disappointment.
I always assumed you would want to port this game to console at some point anyway, but reading that reply I guess maybe not.
