It's general, it's a good idea to start a new game after a major update. Also on each update, the devs did warn us about those landscape changes. Be grateful that your save even works in the first place.

ya when tehy do a big update i tend to redo everything, main reason i'm not doing any high effective builds while waiting for update 8 lol. trying a few blue prints and the like to test ideas to kill the time.

No. You may have played offline for a while so there might be anoither 'you' somewhere with your inventory.

Memory levels is upward compatible only not downward.
And yes we were warned but only before update 6 and not so far back.
You should just know it is an early access game in update 8 will also come map changes.

You were unlucky to have built just right in the most changed area.
It was changed in update 6 after telling what was going to change.. many many times....

fact is that you are skipping many updates at once.... directly to last one

Its neat to see. Im new to the game, update 7 is all ive experienced. Im already planning on a new factory build with a theory in my head for upd8.

I started with update 2. Whatever came before we had pipes. Jace would swear they would never be pipes or liquids in the game...then there was and I think he was even surprised.
Its was the pipe update that most broke my game. nuclear and coal pretty much died that day and I had to rebuild everything.
