Power seems needlessly complicated
Mostly talking about the wires, having to spam them out over your entire base is annoying, looks bad and wastes a lot of time. I really think there needs to be a simpler system, maybe a radius effect rather than cables so you only need few nodes rather than the current dozens to power a decent sized base.

why?
complexity is literaly the basis of the whole game.
Needlessly complicated? There's barely anything to it.

stacking poles on splitters or mergers helps make it look better but there's also the daisy chain mod if you're ok with mods.

using some AWESOME Tickets buy the Wall Power Outlets,
running them along the wall or ceiling can look quite nice if placed right.
or place poles between machines, I find that isn't too intrusive.

Thats what I use. Steel beams straight across a bank of machines, wall outlets facing downward directly overhead from the connector; Bam. Drop lines straight down. Nice and clean.

I keep wires simple. I just wire every machine directly to ceiling connectors then connect those to reach other to the nearest wall connector. It all keeps thing neat and out of the way. I would never put up power poles inside a factory. not my style and too messy for me.

You could do what I've seen Satisfactory youtubers do lately: use the wall power outlets to connect machines from below the floor, and then create a second floor below the main one to hide the power outlets. That way the wires are hidden by the machines themselves.

As for cables between factories: What I personally do is build bridge sections in the blueprint creator and have a power line going below the bridge between the pillars they stand on. (and also pipes/conveyor belts, but that's besides the point)

And...needlessly complicated? That's kinda the main thing of the game...building elaborate and complicated factory setups to create parts. And all the tools to make things look nice are there, if you know how to use them.

This looks bad if you built it poorly.
and there was once something like central supply over the whole foundation, but that was discarded and did not come into play.

With me, each machine gets a power pole and the wiring looks clean.

I have seen people create blueprints for each machine that just have an extra wall power outlet stuck on the machine itself, and connected to it. Then they can be daisy chained without mods.

Personally I just place ceiling outlets on the ceiling above each machine.

To hide wires, I use the wall outlet snapped the the side of the foundation the machine is on, that way all the wires are inside the floor, invisible.

I do partly so but only where train tracks or anything else is in the way and looks unsightly.
Do not like it wen trains drive through the cable, etc.

it doesnt need to: you run the cable along the floor, inside it.
The cable only comes above the floor to join to the machines, so no cable is visible except within the machine area if you do it that way.

Yes I know that but I also lay cables partly so but not always only when I do not want to see the cable.

It can be if you string poles every where between machines. But you can orginize it and make it look neat with wall mounts and rails

Someone I played with made his own power poles with the wall outlets and a vertical beam. As many connections as you want...

When inside a building I like to run power along the ceiling and just put a wall outlet above every few machines and branch off that way.

Power is the last thing I'm worried when dealing with game complexity.
