No MK3 pipes?
Lame. So were stuck at a max of 600 liquid/min. Time to build more pipes I guess.

The solution to anything that occurs:
Build more

Also need new liquid storage tanks. Specifically with multiple in and out ports. Maybe such things are in the works. Lots of room for improvement.

There are technical limitations in the game that mean pipes stop working properly as the flow rate approaches 600/min and you can lose a few percent of fluid. That's one of the reasons why there's no mk3 pipe.
The devs have said they are considering scaling down all the fluid amounts in all recipes to work around this.

Some of that re-scaling has already happened. For example nuclear reactors can now actually be overclocked to 250% and be stable.

That was part of the power plant scaling change. The change they talked about, would mean e.g. changing all fluids everywhere to 50% of current. Water/oil/nitrogen extractors/nodes produce 50%, all recipes produce/use 50%, pipes are 150 and 300, etc. Everything changes by the same proportion so everything keeps working

That is because back before that when you overclocked nuclear power plants to 250% it was actually just pretty much 200% and consuming 600m³/min of water. With making it linear 250% would mean that it needs 750m³/min of water which, obviously, doesn't work.

So the change is not to have things consume less liquid but to actually be able to supply buildings with enough of said liquid with the existing methods in the first place.

Interesting. Thanks for answers.

Well given how buggy 600m/sec is in this game I would not be looking forward to anything faster until they improve the existing pipe speeds. Right now the mk2 pipes are just about as much as the game can handle and in some cases a little more then it can handle.

they have mentioned they want to improve fluid performance so maybe they will get that done and make faster pipes possible but I think more likely is that they will improve the mk2 pipe and call it done as there isnt really that much need for mk3 from my experience...but I guess they add it I will find a way to use it.

Hey man, can you go into detail about what exactly the technical limitation is? I just cant wrap my head around what the limitation is if mods can do it seemingly without effort. Is it like a floating point precision error?

Floating point computation is hard for computers, and inherently inaccurate.
