i cant pick up flowers

for some reason i cant pickup flowers in my world and i cant destroy them with chainsaw either

can't pick up any anywhere? i've never played on a hosted server so i couldn't say if it's different there. I just know that some of the flower assets that I think are in grasslands that are a whitish or light blue color I couldn't remove. In the northern forest there are tons of flowers you can pick up that are mostly pink in color. Also there are yellow flowers somewhere too i don't think you can pick up either with chainsaw or by hand.

I have a similar problem, for some reason while holding the chainsaw I can't pick up leaves or other things on the ground..
but I can do this while in a multiplayer game with my friend??? (different world)
Anyone know why?

I think that was patched in at some point that while holding the chainsaw you couldn't grab leaves but you can still grab berries and nuts etc. maybe your server game is a different game version.

the not being able to pick up leaves thing while holding the chainsaw happens to be even now on update 7. but the unable to pick up anything or even use chainsaw on it is a bug I think that was mostly fixed but there may be places where this still happens...they will sort out foliage issues in time...so things like this and floating things are going to be a problem as long as they are messing with the terrain but once they get things done they can go back and clean up the issues.

The yellow flowers can no longer be collected probably because the petals are no longer used to coloring your base. However, there are many other plants that continue to give you flowers. Maybe in the future they will stop being collected.

flowers are still used for painting patterns and such. you convert them to color cartridges and then you can use them for patterns. painting though doesnt need them anymore.

I had so many piling up here I just installed a mod that added a biomass recipe that uses flowers.

Actually the stack energy of flower petals is higher than biomass.
So less refills for the same power.
This is because you can get 2,5 times as much in one stack.

Colour cartridges tend to last very long in a tractor although it can't be automated fully in vanilla.

at my point in the game biomass is only used or my chainsaw and not much else
I actually sink 90% of what I gather as I clear areas for factories

When it comes to mods...there is always a thing for every thing. Its like rule 34 of the modding for games

The simple solution is to use the Super Chainsaw which collects ALL vegetation and more within a large radius. Nothing is better than this.
