Player in the way

Incredibly annoying. Friends who join your game but then log off permanently sit still on that spot where they were. To make matters worse, you can't build on that spot because you will get the message 'a player is in the way'.
Switching to private mode does not work. There is no kick option for offline players.
Please find a solution.

That was an intentional design decision, though I forget exactly why. I think it was so that when the player returns they don't find themselves encased inside a machine or foundation.

You might be able to kill the player, though that would force them to respawn back at the Hub next time they respawn.

I forcefully wack him with my electric stick but he just sits there sipping tea.

ohh wait..they become invincible? I have a never had a problem killing old pioneers in my game but its been over a year since I had this issue. These days I play alone.

Are you sure they are actually invincible? It takes quite a few whacks to kill someone. If you ever spawn in with a new body you can kill the old one just fine. The game considers that to be someone else, so I would assume the same should apply here as well.

Now if they were in a vehicle that would be different.

It takes a little, but they aren't invincible. You'll encounter the same issue with your character from time-to-time if you go from online to offline and back

lol I don't usually play on weekdays so my friend on my own server built a little hut around me to make me sitting in the middle of a bunch of rail lines look more natural
